1-5 years cabinetry experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
Assist in Cabinet Fabrication:
Work alongside experienced craftsmen to assist in the fabrication of custom cabinets.
This includes measuring, cutting, and assembling wood components according to specifications.
CAD/Drafting and/or CNC experience preferred.
Material Preparation:
Prepare materials for cabinet construction by selecting appropriate wood, cutting it to size, and ensuring it meets quality standards.
Operate Machinery:
Learn to safely operate various woodworking machinery and tools such as saws, drills, CNC, edge-bander, sanders, and routers under supervision.
Finishing Tasks:
Assist in applying finishes to cabinets, including sealing, scuff sanding, staining, painting, and top coat, to achieve desired aesthetics and durability.
Maintain Cleanliness:
Keep the workshop area clean and organized, including sweeping floors, disposing of waste materials, and storing tools properly after use.
Learn Techniques:
Learn various woodworking techniques and best practices from experienced craftsmen, including joinery, edge profiling, and hardware installation.
Follow Safety Protocols:
Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
