JOB SUMMARY The position, located in Rockledge FL, requires quality inspection experience using mechanical and visual inspection criteria The quality inspector will o support the day-to day production by conducting quality inspections and will be responsible for assuring all product and materials meet drawing and specified testing requirements The positions requires to work actively on the manufacturing floor on jobs in order to understand the quality requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Receiving Inspection:
inspection of fabricated sheet metal, machined parts, sub-assemblies, completed assemblies, commercial-off the shelf items, and materials returned from outside processing Mechanical inspection:
checking of dimensions, hole locations, squareness, surface relationships, recesses, contours and similar characteristics Assembly Inspection:
Experience with inspecting sub-assemblies to drawing requirements Outside/Inside Process Inspection:
Inspect paint and coatings for conformance to drawing and quality requirements Product Testing:
Testing of end item products prior to shipment to verify adherence to drawing requirements such as blowing Rain or Water Testing Final Inspection:
Inspect completed final product prior to shipment and completion of quality related documentation including FAI Report if required Evaluates and dispositions non-conforming material Responsible to completing and maintaining related documentation such as CoC's and perform data entry Responsible for organizing and calibration of all inspection tools Support the internal quality audits Actively working on the jobs on the manufacturing floor to learn the production process and the product details.
JOB QUALIFICATION Requires a high school diploma or GED 5 or more years' experience in a quality/manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret drawings Familiar with U.
S.
Military (MIL-STD) a plus Familiar with ISO tolerances a plus Ability to generate charts and reports Effective communication skills including written, oral, and listening Effective interpersonal skills Capability to remain calm in stressful situations and multitask Must know the proper use of inspection tools and equipment such as rulers, gauges, pin gauges, calipers, micrometers, etc.
Must know the proper use of hand tools and test equipment.
