Primary responsibilities include:
Experience in standards and service levels of bar and banquet facilities to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs Estimate and report food and beverage costs for efficient provisioning and purchasing of supplies.
Manage shifts which include:
daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality, and cleanliness Ensure a safe environment, following all ServSafe guidelines, Schedules facility use or event catering services such as banquets or receptions.
Negotiates details of arrangements with customers.
Hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising staff members.
Daily onsite involvement with staff, customers, and operations.
This will include training, supervision, guest interaction, opening and closing the operations (as needed).
Sourcing, ordering, receiving, storing, and proper inventory reconciliation for all needed supplies.
Coordinate with members/clients regarding inquiries for hosting events.
Gives tours of the facilities and discusses booking logistics, room options, and menus with potential clients.
Meets weekly with the Chef to review upcoming events and parties, (BEO-Banquet Event Orders) meeting.
Collaborate with clients upon client arrival regarding proper set-up, event execution, and resetting for day/evening.
Attends weekly department head meetings.
Responsible for coordinating all phases of group meeting/ banquet functions.
Basic knowledge of Point of Sale systems.
Responsible for ensuring coordination and execution of all events Responsible for short and long term banquet functions in the front and back of the house Administrative tasks may include the facilitation of payroll, reports, forecasts, point of sale procedures, inventory, and budget for food and beverage functions Performing daily walk-throughs in banquet department and all function space and storerooms to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations Establish and maintain par stock of all related F&B equipment including alcohol.
Monitor bar results and conduct inventory for both the bar, restaurant, and banquet service.
Monitor food and beverage cost results.
Make sure all POS procedures and processes are adhered to at all times.
Perform updates and changes as necessary.
Food Handlers Certification is required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained on a current/valid status.
