HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA VALID DRIVER LICENSE ABLE TO PASS A LEVEL 2 BACKGROUND SCREENING MUST BE 18YEARS OF AGE Our team of Direct Support Professionals are responsible for supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
This is an extremely rewarding position, which requires complete understanding of the daily functioning of individuals with special needs and the ability to identify areas of improvement and motivate clients to achieve their highest level of independence.
Our Direct Support Professionals are trained to take care of both the administration aspect of the job as well as performing services such as housekeeping, meal preparation and physical assistance.
Responsibilities:
Work effectively within families, groups, and agencies.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to being a Direct Support Professional.
Adhere to the family's wishes, social norms, and personal beliefs.
Support and encourage independence when appropriate.
Maintain the family's privacy and confidentiality.
Advocate for the development of family members.
Work with a team of Direct Support Professionals in providing care for the individual.
