Your
Responsibilities:

Conducts inspections of septic systems and Aerobic Treatment Units.

Conducts field inspections of regulated facilities.

Issues enforcement action for non-compliant Aerobic Treatment Units

Enforces septic system regulations.

Responsible for all data entry of all inspections and other work completed.

Reviews septic system applications.

Writes and issues septic system permits.

Uses bucket auger to dig 6-foot holes and profiles soil for color and texture.

Conducts site evaluations for septic system suitability.

Operates 4-wheel drive vehicles.

Uses laser level, probe, measuring tape, lid puller, scaled ruler, and other tools.

Participates in public education (individually, group setting, and phone calls).

Attends training sessions, seminars, and meetings to obtain education on all environmental health regulations related to public health that are under the jurisdiction of the department.

Investigates sanitary nuisance complaints.

Protects Public Health.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to use PC

Use of general office equipment

Use bucket auger to profile soils to a depth of 72, and ability to use field measuring devices.

Ability to lift over 50 pounds.

Ability to travel to various locations in Brevard County up to 100
miles a day.

Ability to work in inclement weather including 95
degree weather.
Qualifications:
Minimum -

Ability to travel to various locations in Brevard County up to 100
miles a day in all weather conditions.

Ability to lift 50
pounds and work outside all day in all forms of weather.

Required to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency.

Must be proficient in computers, laptops, and Microsoft and other computer programs.

Must carry a valid Driver's license.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
