PC Network Support Tech 3 - Northrop Grumman (Melbourne, FL)
Roles and
Responsibilities:
Installs, troubleshoots, services, and repairs personal computers, network equipment such as servers, related PC software, cables, and connectors.
Installs, services, and repairs personal computers.
Connects personal computers to existing data networks.
Maintains network diagrams and records.
Maintains trouble logs.
Instructs users in the use of personal computers and networks.
Investigates information, network, and communications needs of users, and makes recommendations regarding software and hardware purchases.
Performs security audits on all classified networked and standalone computers on a weekly basis as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
Performs lower level System Administration tasks such as managing backups and user account/group administration.
Minimum
Qualifications:
AA or other 2 year technical degree and 3 years of related experience.
3 Years Windows Desktop Administration.
Familiarity with NISPOM chapter 8 requirements and classified processing environments and procedures.
Position requires a current Secret Clearance Travel may be required.
Able to lift 40 lbs.
Must be able to obtain certifications to meet DoD 8570 requirements.
Preferred
Qualifications:
CompTIA Security , SANS GCUX or GCWN, Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator Certification , MCITP:
Enterprise Administrator on Windows Server 2008, MCITP:
Enterprise Desktop Administrator on Windows 7, MCSA/MCSE Certification, VMware Certified Professional Network experience.
Other IT Related Certifications Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
Basic
Qualifications:
